German Opportunity Card 2024. “chancenkarte” or the opportunity card (as per §20a, b residence act) will be available from june 2024. It is a new type of residence permit for those coming to germany to look for work.

To address the urgent need for skilled workers, the updated skilled immigration act creates new employment opportunities for skilled workers in germany. Chancenkarte translates to opportunity card or chance card in english.
